Answer
In Bholi’s life, love and encouragement made the impossible possible. Her story showed how, after the teacher handed over the key of education to her, she was able to unlock the door that confined her to the stereotypes and expectations yet lack of appreciation or recog character is seen when she expresses her desire to serve the very parents who treated her with disdain as long as she could remember. Also, she was ready to married the unprincipled Bishambernath so as to not go against her parents’ wishes and to protect his dignity. When she saw that the greedy and unruly Bishambernath, her prospective husband was charging her father for upholding his dignity, Bholi decides that her family does not need such an unworthy relationship. Because of her education, she was bold enough to protest and make her own decision as to how she would lead her life and support her parents. Her protest is seen by th society as her insolence. Her character deemed it fit to ignore them. Also, a contrast is seen when Bholi’s sisters become envious of their sister’s rich prospective husband while Bholi refused that so called ‘luck’ because she knew that a person was to be judged by his character and not his wealth.
