The idea of dating turns off many high school students, like myself, and with good reason. With different paths taken by everyone after high school, relationships are nothing short of a gamble. The quote, “it is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all,” seems like just a silly old saying. This quote implies that humans take change well. They take change well if it occurs on their own terms, they do not want change to happen to them, they want to cause the change.
