The true essence can be felt only ones and that would last with us like forever.
It could be affection towards someone who makes you feel special and lovable.
Pure love lasts forever, something which would give but not expect something in return.
Its an selfless and amazing feeling
In some cases it could be just lust but doesn't mean love is lust.
