LPG stove burns with a blue flame. Sometimes the flame becomes yellow and the base of utensils turn black . Give reason for this observation.

Answer: the reason why sometimes flame becomes yellow is because the Sodium gives a yelllow light in a flame so there must be some sodium in milk , if you stop the milk from boiling over and clean the stove the sodium light will go away

↝ The yellow flame comes when the gas in the cylinder is about to get finished .

↝ So more air comes in contact with gas which causes complete combustion and the base of the utensils turn black .
