ls there any difference between air and gas?
Answers
Answer:
Air is a collection of different gases. Mainly nitrogen, and then oxygen. Gas is loosely bound atoms of an element or collection of such in compounds above the temperature required to make them liquid, and colder to make them solid.

Greenhouse gases are trace amounts that absorb infrared photons and re emit them in any random direction, thereby actually causing warming of the biosphere. Note that CO2 and methane, or CH4, are compounds. Even the oxygen is like a compound because it's not a single atom, but O2 (joined together).
Water vapor, or H2O, is also a greenhouse gas which obviously precipitates as rain, however, the warmer the air, the more it holds, before the rain, meaning more warming. Thus additional forced warming can be caused from extra water vapor, along with methane.
Also, another cause of warming would be lower albedo, caused by once reflective surfaces (ice) into much less reflective, revealing the darker land and oceans, further exasperating forced feed back “loops”.
The greenhouse gas CO2 only warms the biosphere about 1.3° C per doubling, that is from pre industrial 280 parts per million to the currently still accelerating level of past 400, up to 560.
So, Global Warming is fact but the predictions of Climate Change is only true to a uncertain range. However, it must be obvious that the ratio of CC to GW will cause greater temp difference than just the 1.3° C from CO2 caused GW alone.
Solutions to reducing excess carbon dioxide is in proper agriculture techniques because soils can sequester a lot of the excess for a long enough time for humanity to cheaply convert the excess into carbonates… Renewable energy and its storage shall become cheaper as well.
