One reason is Lucknow is North. Its almost 1000Km away from bay of bengal, 1400Km away from Arabian Sea. Himalayan mountain is also with in 1400Km. These elements make the variation in Lucknow. Where as Thiruvananthapuram is the southernmost part of India. From here its few Km to Indian ocean . In Indian Ocean Strong north-east winds blow from October until April; from May until October south and west winds prevail. In the Arabian Sea the violent Monsoon brings rain to the Indian subcontinent. So the conclusion is while lucknow keep changing its climate and color, Thiruvanathapuram is steady and clean through out the year.
