Solution :-

At the end of the picnic, he noticed this about the pies :-

→ One whole apple pie was eaten = No left apple pie left .

and,

→ 3/4 of another apple pie was eaten = Left another apple pie = 1 - 3/4 = (1/4)

and,

→ 1/2 of the blackberry pie was eaten = Left blackberry pie = 1 - 1/2 = (1/2)

and,

→ 1/8 of the blueberry pie was eaten = Left blueberry pie = 1 - 1/8 = (7/8)

and,

→ 5/8 of the cherry pie was eaten = Left cherry pie = 1 - 5/8 = (3/8)

and,

→ 3/4 of the peach pie was eaten = Left peach pie = 1 - 3/4 = (1/4)

then,

→ Total amount of Luis’ pies that were left over = (1/4) + (1/2) + (7/8) + (3/8) + (1/4) = (1/4) + (1/4) + (1/2) + (7/8) + (3/8) = (1/2) + (1/2) + (10/8) = 1 + (10/8) = 1 + (5/4) = 1 + 1(1/4) = 2(1/4) = (9/2) (Ans.)
