Luka has a bag containing 5 socks: 3 red, 1 white, and 1 black. He draws 1 sock out of the bag, replaces it, and then draws another sock. What is the probability that he will draw a black sock and then a red sock, P(black, then red)?

Answer:

No. of red socks = 3

No. of white socks = 1

No. of black socks = 1

Total no. of socks = 3+ 1+1 = 5

He draws 1 sock and replaces it so no change in number of socks

Probability(B)= No. of black socks = 1

Total no of socks 5

After removing one sock the total no. of sock will decrease by one = 4

Probability(R)= No. of red socks. = 3

Total no.of socks 4

Hope it helps ☺️
