Luke can paint 91 portraits in 7 weeks. How many portraits can Luke paint in 4 weeks?

(i) Luke can paint 91 potraits in 7 weeks.

To find:

(i) Number of potraits Luke can paint in 4 weeks.

Solution:

It is given that, Luke can paint 91 potraits in 7 weeks.

Keeping in mind that, Luke maintains his works efficiency constant throughout , the number of paintings done by him in 4 weeks would obviously be lesser as compared to 7 weeks.

So, in 7 weeks, 91 potraits are done.

By unitary method, in 1 week, (\frac{91}{7})  potraits are done.

Again, in 4 weeks, number of potraits done is = (\frac{91*4}{7})

= 52.

So, 52 potraits can Luke paint in 4 weeks
