Answer: Oliver Lutkins was a person who was different from inside out . He ,very cleverly made the narrator believe on his words and he blindly agreed upon his sayings . He didn't even doubted at the instance when Oliver used to give gestures to his friends about his guest the narrator. In life , we come across such type of people everyday but the one who takes a moral from the story and be careful while trusting on strange people we don't know will be safe from such kind of people who dupe people for their own means.

Thus we must twice or thrice while trusting on the people we don't know as they might distrust us and could even make us struck in situations from where coming out would be impossible.

Answer:

Answer:The hack driver seemed to be a simple countryman at first appearance and was ready to help the narrator. The lawyer was in search of Lutkin and hence the hack driver took him to various places where he might find Lutkin. The next day the case came up in the court. As he was unable to find Lutkins, the lawyer was asked to go back to New Mullion with a man who had worked with Lutkins. The lawyer got shocked to find that the hack driver himself was Lutkin. Bill also told the lawyer that Lutkins was a hard fellow to catch. He was always up to something or the other. He owed money to many people, including Bill, and had never even paid anybody a cent. The lawyer felt humiliated and learnt not to be hasty in judging a person. Thus, the lesson is a gentle reminder that appearances can be deceptive.
