1) Democracy is the most desired form of government as it makes the government liable to the citizens for most of their actions. The transition from non democratic to democratic country has not been very smooth and clear for most of the nations.

2) Abraham Lincoln, the sixteenth president of the USA.According to Abraham Lincoln, "Democracy is a government of the people, by the people, and for the people."

3) Nelson Mandela, the leader of a movement to end South African apartheid, was released from prison 30 years ago on 11 February, 1990. Mr Mandela, who died in 2013 aged 95, was South Africa's first black president after spending 27 years in jail. He is remembered as one of the greatest leaders the world has ever seen.

4)Representative democracy, also known as indirect democracy or representative government, is a type of democracy founded on the principle of elected officials representing a group of people, as opposed to direct democracy.
