lx + my = a ----------(1)
mx + ly = b-----------(2)

multiply l with equation (1) and m with equation (2)
l²x + mly = al
m²x + mly = bm

=================
subtracting ,
l²x - m²x = al - bm

( l² - m²)x = ( al -bm)

x = ( al - bm)/( l² - m²)

similarly ,
multiply m with equation (1) and l with equation (2)

mlx + m²y = am
mlx + l²y = bl

==============
subtracting
( m² - l²)y= ( am - bl)
y = ( am - bl)/( m² - l²)
