ANSWER:
A person comforts him in a situation by saying lies. Lies just give a person temporary comfort but it will become a danger in a long run. A strong braveness should be needed to accept something that we did wrong instead of lying.
If we admit the truth, we can face the situation at that point itself but if we lie, the negative effect will follow us until we admit the truth openly.
