hi mate,

==> we know that the small intestine has millions of tiny finger-like projections called villi.

==>These villi increase the surface area for more efficient food absorption. that's why

small intestine is designed to have maximum absorption of food.

==>Within these villi, many blood vessels are present that absorb the digested food and carry it to the blood stream.

==>The small intestine absorbs most of the nutrients in your food, and your circulatory system passes them on to other parts of your body to store or use.

==>Special cells help absorbed nutrients cross the intestinal lining into your bloodstream.

==>Lymphatic vessels present in the intestinal villi absorb fatty acids and carries the digested food and fats from the small intestine. It acts as a reservoir of digested food and water.

I hope it helps you.
