☛ Lysosomes are organelles insude the cell that helps in the waste disposal inside cell.

☛ It contains various digestive enzymes that helps in digesting the foreign substances entering the cell.

☛It can also digest the entire cell in case of worn out cell, it burst out releasing all enzymes to digest the entire cell. Thus they are also known as suicidal bags.

☛Lysosomes contain powerful digestive enzymes capable of breaking down all organic material ,so they are called digestive bags of the cell.

☛ These enzymes of lysosomes are made in endoplasmic reticulum and packed in golgi bodies. Thus they make the lysosomes.

☛ The lysosomal enzymes helpd in dissolving the membrane of egg, because they are present in the acrosome of sperm.

☛ We have Seen that when tadpole changes to frog, the tail disappears because it is too digested by lysosomal enzymes.

☛So, its main function is to remove wastes.
