Hi ,

m² + 5m + 5 = 0

m² + 5m = -5

m² + 2 × m × 5/2 = - 5

m² + 2 × m × 5/2 + ( 5/2 )² = ( 5/2 )² - 5

( m + 5/2 )² = 25/4 - 5

( m + 5/2 )² = ( 25 - 20 )/4

( m + 5/2 ) = ± √(5/4)

m + 5/2 = ± √5/2

m = - 5/2 ± √5/2

m = ( - 5 ± √5 )/2

I hope this helps you.
