Let us consider,

m + 3n = -13 ....(1)
n - 4n -13 = 0 ....(2)

first, by using (2) find the value of n

=> n - 4n -13 = 0
=> - 3n = 13
=> n = -13/3

substitute, n value in (1)

=> m + 3n = -13
=> m + 3(-13/3) = -13
=> m + (-13) = -13
=> m - 13 = -13
=> m = -13 + 13
=> m = 0

therefore m = 0 , n = (-13/3)
