total surface area of verandah (cuboid) = 2( lb+ bh+hl)

= 2( 6×3.5+3.5×5+5×6) m^2

= 2×68.5 m^2

= 137 m^2

since, the area of verandah is 137m^2.

  • cost of cementing floor at the rate of 300 per m^2:-

the cost of cementing the floor of the verandah wt the rate of 300 m^2 = Rs(300×137) = Rs41100

so, the cost of verandah cementing is Rs41100.
