I think we would all like to do more for our environment, but when it comes to the labelling and packaging industry we have struck a problem. Looking to source a more eco-friendly option that is supportive to the planet and has sustainability but without sacrificing the quality of the finished label has always felt like it is just been out of reach.

Now with the growing range of eco materials that are being manufactured by industry leaders such as Avery, we are able to offer self-adhesive labels that look and feel no different to the common non-recyclable synthetic and wood paper versions. With increased investment by the likes of suppliers such as Avery, these new materials can still be printed in the same high quality way and converted into any label shape and size.

Compared to the usual non-recyclable self-adhesive materials which can take hundreds of years to break down, these new materials are biodegradable and compostable within months. The filmic eco substrates are also compliant with the European Industrial Compostable Standard (EN13432), this means a material has to be 90% biodegradable outdoor.
