Answer:

When people discussosmosis in biology, it always refers to the movement of water. ... One big difference between osmosis anddiffusion is that both solvent and solute particles are free to move in diffusion, but inosmosis, only the solvent molecules (water molecules) cross the membrane.

Diffusion: when we dissolve solute in solvent, then solute particles moves towards “high concentration to low concentration” is called ''diffusion''.

It forms homogeneous mixture..

Osmosis: spontaneous net flow of solvent molecules from “dilute solution to concentrate solution” or from “solvent to solution” through the semipermeable membrane is called ''osmosis''

1-The main difference in between diffusion and osmosis is “semipermeable membrane”

In diffusion semipermeable membrane does not necessary or not used but in osmosis it will be necessary.

2-in diffusion “solute” moves from high concentration to low concentrations but in osmosis “solvent” moves “low concentration to high concentration”

Hope it helps ✌️✌️✌️✌️
