AB = CD = 2b

AX = BX = b

Height = h

Here AXCD is trapazeium has two parallel side (AX||CD)

The area of trapezium = 1/2 (AX +CD) x Height

= 1/2 (b+2b) * h

= 1/2 bh + bh

From the question:

1/2 bh + bh = 24 --- (1)

Area of triangle  = 1/2 base x height

1/2 (2b) h

= bh

bh = 24
