m-(m-1/2)=1-(m-2/3) answer should be 7/5 show me every step..

gujjarankit: 7/5 is the ans.
gujjarankit: but from my point of view it must be 7/6
gujjarankit: beacuse 1/2+2/3 =7/6
JaraHayat: according to my book its 7/5
apurvaa200297: does it mean that in your book while taking lcm the denominators are added instead of multiplying
apurvaa200297: it is against the classical mathematics
apurvaa200297: there might be some mistakes in the key
gujjarankit: yup i also think that

m-(m-1/2)=1-(m-2/3)

m-m+1/2=1-m+2/3

0+1/2=3/3+2/3-m

since 3/3=1

1/2=5/3-m

5/3-1/2=m

5×2-3×1/2×3=m

10-3/6=m

7/6=m

m -(m-1/2) = 1- ( m -2/3)

m - m +1/2 = 1 - m+2/3

1/2 = 3/3 + 2/3 -m

1/2 = 5/3 - m

m = 5/3 -1/2

m = 10/6 - 3/6

m= 7/6
