GIVEN

  • m + n = 72

  • n + p = 144

  • m = 36

TO DETERMINE

The value of m+n+p

EVALUATION

Here it is given that

m + n = 72 - - - - - (1)

n + p = 144 - - - - - (2)

Now m = 36

From Equation (1) we get

n = 72 - 36 = 36

From Equation (2) we get

p = 144 - 36 = 108

Hence

m + n + p

 = 36 + 36 + 108

 = 180
