Add 1 bothsides of the equation

1 +m + n + mn = 1 + 118

( 1 + m ) + n ( 1 + m ) = 119

( 1 + m ) ( 1 + n ) = 7 × 17

( 1 + m ) ( 1 + n ) = ( 1 + 6 ) ( 1 + 16 )

Compare bothside terms

m = 6 and n = 16

Therefore,

m + n = 6 + 16 = 22
