M/s Paper Write Corporation deals with the manufacturing and selling of paper bags. The company has started this business looking at the opportunity that exists, after plastic was banned by the government in some states. The company has never used any modern day management practices and the business continues to function in the traditional way. Mr. Ajay has been appointed as a Manager to handle the overall functioning of the business. He notices few things in the company:a) One person reporting to three bosses b) No specialized worker in the factory c) Long hierarchy to get any approval d) No following of rules and regulations e) No designated place for inventory, tools, equipment’s, etc. f) The team work among employees is missing. Advise Mr. Ajay any five of Henry Fayol’s principles which can solve the problems mentioned above. Explain the same with description.

Division of Work

Divide work people according to their skills and make them experts in particular fields, rather all people doing common tasks

This is to ensure that certain people are allowed to give certain approvals and there is no long chain of approval

Unity of Direction

There should be one boss, so that people know whom to listen and what direction to be followed

The management needs to adopt the following Henry Fayol's principle of management of the 14 principles, they are more suitable in addressing the case of M/s paper Write Corporation.

a) Unity of Command: With the knowledge of the leadership hierarchy, the employee should be aware of whose is giving the orders, the concept of respecting order to be upheld.

b) Scalar Chain: The organization needs to have a clear line of authority, that is who they should be answering to at any given time.

c) Division of Work: Each staff should be presented with a job description that captures most of the responsibilities they have specialized, forming teamwork that can effectively deliver on given task falls within division of labor.

d) Order: The employee must be able to access primary equipment needed to deliver.

e) Stability and tenure of personal: Understanding and respecting specialties of employees support the meaningful development of team for high productivity.
