‘M/s. Real Paint’ sold 2 tins of lustre paint and taxable value of each tin is rupees 2800. If the rate of GST is 28%, then find the amount of CGST and SGST charged in the tax invoice. Solve the word problem

CGST = SGST = 764 Rs

◆ Explanation -

Total price of two tins is -

Total = 2 × 2800

Total = 5600 Rs

Total amount of GST calculated is -

GST = 5600 × 28/100

GST = 1568 Rs

Half of this will be CGST and and half will be SGST.

CGST = SGST = GST/2

CGST = SGST = 1568/2

CGST = SGST = 764 Rs
