Given

m² - 5m = -3

by making RHS zero

=> m² - 5m + 3 = 0

Now by using Sridhacharyas formula which is

 \frac{-b±\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}

by putting values of coefficients

=  \frac{5± \sqrt{5^2 - 4 × 1 × 3 }}{2× 1}

=  \frac{5± \sqrt{25 - 12 }}{2}

=  \frac{5 ± \sqrt{13}}{2}

or values of m

=  \frac{5+\sqrt{13}}{2} \: and\: \frac{5 - \sqrt{13}}{2}

or factorization

= (m -  \frac{5+\sqrt{13}}{2} ) (m -  \frac{5-\sqrt{13}}{2} )

Hope it helps
