Ma'am I had a doubt that,

Loss of e- is termed as oxidation.
And gain of oxygen is termed as oxidation.

But when O²- is added to a substance it gain e- so it should be reduction?​

gaining of oxygen is known as oxidation.

losing or removal of Oxygen and is known as reduction
