मेले से लाया हूं इसको
छोटी सी प्यारी गुड़िया,
बेच रही थी इसे भीड़ में
बेटी नुक्कड़ पर बुड़िया !

मोलभाव करके लाया हूं
ठोक बजा कर देख लिया ,
आंखें खोल मुंद् सकती है
वह कहती है पिया - पिया !

जेडी सितारों से है इसकी
चुनरी लाल रंग वाली ,
बड़ी भली इसकी आंखें
मतवाली काली -काली!

ऊपर से है बड़ी सलोनी
अंदर गुदड़ी है तो क्या?
ओ गुड़िया तू इस पर मेरे
शेशुमन् पर विजई माया!

Translation : I bought this sweet lovely doll from a fair.

From an old lady who was sitting near the street corner selling dolls.

I bargained for it and by banged it on something (to ensure it's sturdy. An idom was used. )

She can open and close her eyes. And she can even say piya piya.

Her jedi is like stars.

And her scarf is of red colour.

And her eyes are quite fine.

Black black like addiction (the word मतवालl means drunk so मतवाली would mean something that can get you drunk)

And I guess there is some mistake in the last stanza. Please check it again.
