1 ) We know that, Force is rate of change of momentum.

Here, momentum of bullet is changed from rest to 500m/s.

To control this change, we require force to hold the gun.

2) Mass of bullet, m = 20/1000kg

No. of bullets fired per sec, = 10

Speed of bullet, = 500m/s

|F| = mass of bullet * speed of bullet * No. of bullets fired per sec.

= 20/1000* 500 * 10

= 100N

Therefore, 100 N of Force is required oposite to jer produced by recoil of gun.
