Mack requires 40 % to pass. If he gets 190 marks and falls short by 10 marks, what are the maximum marks he could have got?

500 marks because if you add 190 plus ten you get 200 and if 200 equals forty percent just take 200 over 40 which equals five so five equals 1 percent. So if five equals one percent take 5 times 100 to find 100 percent which would equal 500 marks.
