here's ur answer...

given the Length of the floor of the room is 6m and breadth is 3m.

area of the floor = length × breadth

= 6 × 3

= 18m²

if the carpet covers 8m² of the floor, then the percentage of carpet covers = 8/18×100

= 800/10

= 44.44% (approximately)

Area of the floor=(6×3)=18m²

Area covered by carpet=8m²

When 18m² area will covered by carpet,then floor will covered=100%

or when 1 area covered by carpet,then floor will be covered=100/18%

So when 8m² area covered by carpet, then floor will be covered=(100/18×8)%

=44.44%
