so Madhur got 101 marks out of x in Hindi

100 marks out of x in science

and so on ...

now there are 5 subjects , so total marks are 5x

Madhur got ,

101 + 100 + 96 + 108 + 78 = 483 out of 5x


so , 483 marks ------ out of 5x

84 % -------- 100 %


5x = 483 × 100 / 84

5x =575

x = 115


so each paper is of 115 marks
