maglev train is a type of train that moves while floating in air just above its track.this way friction is minimized and the train moves very fast- at speeds exceeding 500km per hour.how do you think it is made to float above the rails?

Maglev is the short form of magnetic levitation. train float a cushion of air (4 cm to 10 cm above from surface). it means there is no friction on moving part like wheels .there are no railway track which are the limitations of conventional track to attain higher speed like 500 km/h.
for maintaining the path, the trains are also guided on sides there is also magnetic force which will not allow the trains to touch the side. finally we get progressive pulse of magnetic force train moves forward , no friction and hence, high speed

Answer:
In easy way if I explain you
Maglev train floats above the rails because in these trains, the conventional wheels of the train and the tracks on which they move are replaced by magnets.
hope this will make you understand well
