Magnesium has 2 valance electron in which cell


raj515: you should ask in which shell. e config of Mg is 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2, so as you can see last shell number is 3

Hence its valence shell is "M"

Magnesium has an atomic number of 12.So it's e.c would be 2,8,2 in the order k shell,l shell and m shell.So,Mg has two valence elections in M shell.
