Hey there !!

When magnesium oxide react with Hydrochloric acid give Rise to magnesium chloride , chlorine and water

Equation -

2MgO + 4HCl --> 2MgCl2+ 2H20 \:


Here chlorine has already exhausted with Mg that's why chlorine will not be there again
