Magnesium ribbon charcoal powder sulphur powder Aluminium foil when dilute hydrochloric acid is poured in which do not use which do not produce pop sound on bringing a burning matchstick near the mouth of each of the test tubes

Magnesium and Aluminium are more active metal than H and can displace H from HCl,hence pop sound will occur.

Carbon and sulphur can not react with HCl so no reaction will occur so no pop sound.
