Magnetic and transport properties of oxygen-deficient perovskite LnBaCo2O5.5 (Ln=Sm, Gd) single crystals have been studied. GdBaCo2O5.5 exhibits successive metal-insulator, ferromagnetic, and antiferromagnetic transitions. On the other hand, SmBaCo2O5.5 exhibits only an antiferromagnetic transition.
