Induced current in the coil is 0.32 A.

Explanation:

Given that,

The rate of change on magnetic field, \dfrac{dB}{dt}=0.4\ T/s

Side of square, x = 4 cm = 0.04 m

Area of the square, A=x^2=(0.04)^2=0.0016\ m^2

Resistance of the coil, R=2\times 10^{-3}\ \Omega

Due to the change in the magnetic field, an emf is induced in it and it is given by :

\epsilon=\dfrac{d(BA)}{dt}

\epsilon=A\dfrac{d(B)}{dt}

\epsilon=0.0016\times 0.4

\epsilon=0.00064\ V

Using Ohm's law :

\epsilon=I\times R

I=\dfrac{\epsilon}{R}

I=\dfrac{0.00064}{2\times 10^{-3}}

I = 0.32 A

So, the induced current in the coil is 0.32 A. Hence, this is the required solution.
