The magnetic field that is generated inside the current carrying solenoid, mainly at the centre, or core, is necessarily uniform( same throughout), and is found to be directed along the axis of the solenoid.

However, the scenario is different outside the solenoid. Outside the solenoid, the magnetic field is found to be much weaker.
