Magnetic field lines can not cross each other. Why?

Because If magnetic field lines intersect each other, then at the intersection point there will be two directions of the same field which is not possible. Hence the field lines do not cross or intersect each other.

The magnetic field lines never intersect each other because if two or more lines intersect each other then it means that at the intersection point, there will be two directions of the same field. This is not possible for a magnetic field to have more than one direction at the same point.
