the continues curved lines around the magnet showing the magnetic field are called Magnetic field lines

Properties of magnetic field lines are-
1) They are imaginary and continuous lines.
2) no two magnetic lines of force can intersect at any point.
3) where the crowd of the magnetic field lines are more there the strength of the magnetic field is more.
4) the direction of the magnetic field lines is from the north pole to the south pole outside the magnet and from south pole to the north pole inside the magnet.
