Let vector is x i + y j

a/q x = 2

now unit vector along y=√3 x is

 \frac{1}{2} i +  \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{2} j

so

(2i + y \: j).( \frac{1}{2} i +  \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{2} j) = 1 \\ 1 +  \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{2} y = 1 \\ y = 0

so vector is 2i

it's magnitude is 2
