No. Maharaja Ranjit Singh was Bhatti Jat. His currently descendants alive who live in village Raja sansi. And Government of Punjab recod him Bhatti Jat.. infect before sikh they were do marry in Jats just like after sikh. Before sikh they use Choudhary title before his name.. currently they feel proud to be Jatt. And Revenue land recod of his family in urdu and his descendants have full recod where record him Jat (that recod is 1852) S.Amar Singh Sandhanwalia (Cousin of S. Maha Singh) his Revenue land record also said him Bhatti Jat (1700). Late 13 th century Ranjit Singh descendants have full record where That time they are Jat.
