Maharaja Surajmal was the ruler of Bharatpur in Rajasthan, India. He was a Jat ruler. He was called as "Plato" of Jat caste. He was also known as Sujan Singh.
He was born on 13th February 1707 and died on 25th December 1763 during the war with Najib-ud-dola.
He utilized his wealth and power in noble causes and even constructed many palaces and forts throughout his kingdom. One such epic construction was the Lohagarh Fort which was regarded as one of the most strongest fort ever constructed in the history of India.
