Answer:

Maharani Yesubai (1719 AD) was the wife of Maratha Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj .

She was the daughter of Pilajirao Shirke, a Maratha chieftain (chieftain) who was in the services of Chhatrapati Shivaji .

When the Maratha fort of Raigad was captured by the Mughals in 1689, Yeshubai was imprisoned along with his young son Shahu. Although he was taken everywhere with Aurangzeb, he (Aurangzeb) never took care of him. After Aurangzeb's death in 1707, his son Azam became emperor and released Shahu to encourage division into the Maratha ranks. However, the Mughals held Yasubai in captivity for a decade, to ensure that Shahu would take care of the terms of the treaty that signed his release.

Finally, in 1719, Peshwa Balaji Vishwanath Bhat rescued him from there with an extensive treaty which was recognized by the Mughals and included Shahu as the real heir of Shivaji.
