Gandhiji wanted to remove untouchability but maintain the caste system but Ambedkar wanted to remove the caste system for removing untouchability. Ambedkar wanted seperate elections for Dalits but Gandhiji was in favour of increasing the reserved seats for scheduled castes. Gandhiji favoured decentralisation of power for upliftment of downtrodden but Ambedkar wanted a strong central government to control caste based evils.
