GUWAHATI, Aug 8 - The Kamrup Metro district administration will organise the 73rd Independence Day with a three-day agenda from August 13 to 15.

During the morning hours of August 13 the administration will clean all statues of freedom fighters, martyrs and leading citizens located in different parts of the city. At the same time, cleanliness drives will also be carried out in parks, prominent public places and public ponds and tanks of Guwahati as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Along with the cleanliness drives, the administration will also carry out distribution and plantation of saplings in the city.
