Gandhi and Kasturba had four children:

Harilal (1888-1948) who was born in India, he was the principal child of Mahatma Gandhi. He revolted generally unequivocally. He had an exceptionally disturbed association with his father, who in the long run disowned him.

Manilal (1892-1956) born in India, he was the second child of Mahatma Gandhi and Kasturba Gandhi and was dynamic in his father's development.

Ramdas (1897-1969) born in South Africa, was the third child of Mahatma Gandhi, he never acclimated to the hopeful neediness forced by his father, yet took an interest in the tiring civil protests of the 1930s.

Devdas (1900-1957) born in South Africa. was the fourth and youngest child of Mahatma Gandhi. Mohandas acted as midwife at the delivery of his youngest child, Devadas Gandhi.

Mahatma Gandhi's children disliked their childhood as pupils. They were not, for instance, permitted the formal instruction which Mohandas himself had gotten and which would have provided them with their own decision of job.
