Mahatma Gandhi had dreamt of a free India, which consisted of a network of self sufficient villages. He felt the future of India lay in cottage and small-scale industries. Do you agree with him? How is the India of today different from the India Mahatma Gandhi had visualised?
Please give a comparatively long answer or some points since it is a HOTS question

Heya,
Your answer:--
The father of our nation always thought, that it is in the best interest of all the people to build a self sufficient society whose base lies on cottage and small scale industries. This view wasn't supported by our first prime minister who wanted to develop large scale industries and factories, we today see how it turned out for us. The poor don't have the most basic of facilities and the rich grow richer everyday in this society of ours. I completely agree with Gandhi Jis vision, we need to support the common man first, and slowly rise. In the world he dreamt of, everyone had jobs, a basic standard of living. Sure, no one was very richer and enjoyed a lot of facilities, but atleast everyone would be equal.
Hope it helps u..
